My View Inside A Open Meeting.......... Part II

Back Track to Part I

So, why in the heck am I at a hotel meeting?

Given the fact that I found MonaVie online without anyone directly soliciting me or asking me to join, I had not seen the MonaVie opportunity presented by a live human being, I also needed to meet Brig & Lita Hart, who are not only the first distributors to reach the level of Blue Diamond as distributors of MonaVie, but also happen to be my personal sponsors. Which really doesn’t mean anything, in the realm of the compensation plan, since it is a NEW GENERATION Binary Plan with Dynamic Compression. I have to laugh every time I say that, it sounds like something out of Nascar garage or something.
;-)

I really wanted to introduce myself to Brig and Lita, and let them know in person, my commitment to build this business.

THOUGHT - I may plug people who I share MonaVie with offline, into some of these local meetings. Also, my parents as well as others in my organization will be building their business volume primarily offline. Therefore, I needed to check it all out, personally. These offline meetings also give people an opportunity to actually taste the MonaVie product. That is key, because so many people learned the benefits of phytochemicals, etc. from Noni, but hated the taste of the others.

Here is how the flow of the meeting went:

Sign-in table set-up outside the meeting for distributors ($5 admission fee) and their guest are free.

Tool table set-up inside with books, CD’s, DVD’s, brochures, overnight packs, etc. and the mark-up seemed reasonable.

I purchased an overnight-pack ($10 each). I got this to provide people offline information if/when I run into someone with health/financial concerns.
The overnight-pack contains all of the information for someone to make an informed decision. It contains a DVD, 3 colored- high gloss tri-folds, colored comp plan, invitation to a MonaVie Tasting/opportunity meeting, a colored high-gloss 4 page 8x12 brochure, titled Blue Diamond Builder. The content of this Diamond Builder includes information on “7 Reasons Why” and also information on the Virtual Prospector Distributor Operating System = DOS, a colored Vitality Newsletter, and a new distributor application. All contents available online for free.

>Charlie Kalb - (Newest Diamond) Welcome

>Tasting of MonaVie The juice tasted much better than NONI. My Mother is a tough critic, and she even enjoyed the taste and fruit flavors of MonaVie -- She prefers the MonaVie Active, but not much difference in the two flavors.

>Testimonials: I found a lot of value in this segment, as I could see the people and hear their experiences and determine if they were being honest or not, using my own judgment. Online, testimonials are just typed words, usually from people you do not know, so they are worthless.

>2 Videos: (Which are available online, but seeing them on a big screen, definitely made a bigger impact)

TIME LAPSED: 35 minutes

>Brief Upcoming MonaVie-Corporate Function Promotion: Friday night is free, and Saturday is $100 and/or $150 which would include two meal tickets, lunch and dinner.

>Lita Hart: Words of welcome and encouragement

>Brig shared his beliefs, testimony, and vision both business and personal -- Heavily laden with strong evangelical remarks, a Bible verse, and with even occasional support and confirmation from the audience, like amen’s, etc.
Brig was very entertaining, comical, and also extremely passionate about his personal Christian beliefs throughout his presentation.

He demonstrated how to “place” MonaVie with folks, using the “IT’S” System = Invite, Taste, and Share.

I got the feeling Brig is sincere and has a very strong desire to help others become successful, both financially and also through building/strengthening relationships through Christianity.

I wondered about the people who aren’t Christian who came to the business meeting and could have been possibly offended? Most of the world population is not Christian. I will need to ask Brigs opinion about that -- however I think I know his answer already.

DISCLAIMER ~ I am not condemning Brig, nor do I oppose any of his beliefs. However, I am not sure how much of this strong evangelical opinion, is appropriate in a open business opportunity meeting?

I personally was not offended, as a matter of fact, I applaud his courage to stand for his beliefs with such conviction. However, I do have some business contacts who are not (yet) Christian, and wonder what their reaction would have been to this type of business meeting.

There has been a lot of people who have been confused by MLM’s and Christianity being so intertwined.

I think it because Christianity in the past and presently, continues to be used as a marketing tool, and abused in many MLM organizations to prey on distributors emotions. There has been many documented discussions with people online, where within MLM systems that where mixing religion as part of the mind control processes of manipulation. The stories are endless, from current Christian MLM’ers, who felt molested by such tactics from their uplines.

I'm also in agreement with John that there are several parallels between the way Quixtar organizations are run and the way churches operate.

I don't think there's anything wrong with businesses being run using principles that are gleaned from reading a religious text. But if those principles work from running a successful business, they are business principles, not religious ones. They are not reliant upon the particular text where they are written to be true. They would be good business principles no matter what religion happened to present them. Where I differ from the Quixtar organizations is their reliance upon Christian principles in place of business principles. I attended several seminars in which Biblical principles that had nothing whatsoever to do with business were preached from the stage. That is an inappropriate use of a business function, and my wife and I walked out on those speakers who did that. So again, it is not the use of religious ideas that causes problems in business. It is the wanton use of religious ideas that may or may not have anything at all to do with business that gives pause to IBOs...or imo, should.

What do you think? Leave a comment below, this is really a good topic for discussion.

TIME LAPSED: 1 Hour 40 minutes

>Compensation Overview: (The 7 ways to earn money with MonaVie was explained by a few different people all explaining one or two of the different ways to earn income along the progressive comp plan.)

>Earnings testimonials: (Several people stood up at different performance levels. They all had been MonaVie Distributors for only a few short months. One young couple claimed to be making $1000 per week, after 5 months working part-time. They worked their way around the room with at least 15-20 people making substantial incomes.

Then there was Brig who were making more in MonaVie after their first six months, than they did in any one year from the Amway Opportunity, after 21 years of building at the Double Diamond level. Brig said his best year income from Amway was over 800k, so you do the math.

Brig said his personal goal, is to help create a 1000 millionaires in MonaVie.

Estimated Time Lapsed: 2 hours 30 minutes

The time flew by, and no one left early.

Even though I had flashbacks upon our arrival of the ole Amway days, by the end of the meeting, I knew this was definitely not Amway. Some of the same faces, but definitely a new business, and a new day.

The MonaVie meeting was very impressive, to say the least, and highly recommended for distributors who want to build a business offline and also for those who may be struggling with belief levels.

Both my parents and I left the meeting totally sold on the opportunity.
There is a lot of uniqueness about the compensation plan, which really was encouraging to us all. I was really pleased to see my parents conviction to build this business after (1) hotel meeting and MonaVie Tasting.

After the meeting Brig and Lita met with us at a local restaurant.

We voluntarily with absolutely ZERO pressure, we purchased 6 cases for volume discounts in order to retail MonaVie and profit from our retail sales to customers. (When you buy 6 case lots, MonaVie gives you a substantial break in price, making it very achievable to make profits retailing, if never built your one leg).

Retailing is a great aspect of the MonaVie Business Plan, one that 99% of all Network Marketing companies fail at miserably. (Even though retailing is required by law in any MLM opportunity, it often the most ignored. Many teach the illegal “buy from yourself and teach others to do the same“ method for building sales volume.

My View Inside Of A MonaVie/Global NetMark Open Meeting

Well, Monday night, I attended my first hotel meeting since about 1993, and I tasted some MonaVie. Look, I am already turning into a MonaVie Rap Artist.

The taste was great — I have tried (2) in the past. I tasted Tahitian Noni several years ago, not too bad. Then just a few days ago, I tasted Oasis - AgelessXtra - thanks Jill .

My parents came along with me, since they have no retirement to speak of, and they are approaching retirement age within the next few years. (Actually, I think they were just being supportive and sharing my excitement for my newfound opportunity.) Gotta love em!

Keep in mind; they got burned a lot worse than I did in Amway. My Dad continued on pursuing Amway after I left, and he worked that business like a Trojan for multiple years, and spent thousands of dollars on their “success system.” So, what went wrong? More later……..

For those of you who do not know yet, my goal is to personally sponsor people from home, and generate retail sales online, without having to be in conference rooms and meetings — across the state, country, etc. (Now, if I do not reach my goals building my business volume online, I will make adjustments as necessary, because I am determined to build a business.)

This MonaView Blog, is a documented case study if you will, of one my pursuit, to build a business online and from the comforts of my home — teach others to do the same.– constituting a true home-based, built from home.

So, why in the heck am I at a hotel meeting?

Intro Part II -- My View Of Internet Marketing

Well, one thing is for certain, the old school MLM junkies have discovered that they do not fit it well on the Internet. The hype and hoopla just doesn’t fly online. False claims and “behind the scene” tool schemes are quickly exposed online. The net is really not that big of a place as some think.

This is why I enjoy the Qblog so much. Eric Jannsen is doing a wonderful job over there. The blog and forum are literally helping prevent people from getting hurt, both (financially and emotionally) by such schemes as the AmQuix King Pins systems.

They provide great content and value to the online community, by providing information from behind the curtain of the Amway/Quixtar = AmQuix King Pins Tools Businesses.

For the sake of those Quixtar IBO’s that are not involved with such systems , their efforts should be applauded. (see Disclaimer)

Disclaimer~ “One great example of such a person is David Robison, and he has a blog that is titled, “ On The Road With Dave.” David is a Quixtar IBO, however he is not involved with the systems which I am describing above. As a matter of fact, David doesn’t have any advertising cost and doesn’t pay for any tools and/or training. He is definitely part of the next online generation of Quixtar IBO’s.

Another reason for the success of the Qblog is that almost everyone above the age of 40 in North America, has been effected by Amway/Quixtar in their lives, at some point. Therefore, there is an huge audience base.

I do wonder sometimes how some of the people that post there frequently, can do so, without some type of compensation?

Who knows maybe they will sell it off on eBay for some huge amount of money someday. Will be interesting to see what successful blogs like Qblog will be 5-10 years from now.

Well, that really isn’t my business, so I will continue with topic at hand:

So, what else is different today?

Well, with the recent technology advances of both audio-pod casting and streaming video technologies. We have much simpler interfaces for integrating and delivering content online, through blogs, podcasts, forums, etc.

For these reasons, and many more, I believe the time is now.

The one thing that I feel that has been lacking most in the home based business model, is the marriage of both a reputable and stable product supplier with a ethical and successful field organization. Where I have seen the majority of the problems related to the home based business industry, applies directly to this relationship being out of balance. As a matter of fact, most people do not understand the difference in the product supplier, and the field organization that they join.

Again, the Internet is still in its infancy, as far a marketing medium — No one has figured it out by any means. What we have discovered though, is that it is best used as a communication tool.

Here is a quote from the man who invented the WWW.

The web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect — to help people work together — and not as a technical toy. The ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the world. We clump into families, associations, and companies. We develop trust across the miles and distrust around the corner.

—Tim Berners-Lee, Weaving The Web

I have discovered blogs and online forums are great platforms to do exactly what Tim’s vision. I have also found blogs to be both informative and entertaining. They are also serve as venues to learn from one another’s experiences.

The whole concept of blogging promotes community building online, and collaborating with people of like minded interest, together on the web. You can do a Google Search and find people sharing their personal thoughts, ideas, on everything you can possibly fathom.

For a quick reference, here is a link from Wikipedia — that explains what a Blog is in greater detail.

Intro Part I

Since, last Wednesday, I have been reading everything and anything I can get my hands on, and doing my due-diligence on MonaVie, Acai Berry, and the other fruits and ingredients therein, i.e. Glucosamine and Celedrine. (There is a lot!) I needed to know that it was backed up with science, and that it was actually, marketable to retail customers.

I registered as a Associate this past Saturday afternoon, with Monarch Health Sciences, which is the parent company for MonaVie. The field organization I chose to join , is GLOBAL NetMark.

(The next post in the Intro series discusses the difference in product supplier which is MonaVie and why it is just as or MORE important to choose the right field organization. Most people new in Network Marketing do not understand the difference, or even that one exists, because they are never educated prior to being recruited.)

I have been looking for an opportunity to generate income from the online market-place. I have been following the online business trends closely, over the last 5 years, or so, and have gotten my feet wet a couple of times.

The temperature just hasn’t been q-u-u-i t e right for me in the past.

There was always something missing. I have to admit that I had to grow a lot too, as I continue to pursue personal growth each day.

During my journey, I have learned a tremendous amount about the fundamentals of leadership, accountability and business, and how they cohesively must intertwine.

I have also been personally involved with building and moderating online communities during my heaviest periods of online activity. From my efforts, I helped create some substantial gross sales volume in the past, from an online business venture.

From the time I first came online in 2000, I have never been interested in some get-rich-quick scheme.

Rather, I have been looking for the right time for technology to be able to support a home based business platform for the beginner.

There have been some real obstacles in the past, as related to the Internet being primarily, a text based platform. I speak for myself here as well.

A lot of people either did not type, did not like to type even if they knew how, and then the reading that was involved was same scenario — Combine those obstacles, with people still being new to the Internet and you can see where obstacles start stacking up. Understanding there are still millions of newcomers still coming online.

But wait, be sure to add the reputation of the old school MLMers and their unscrupulous marketing tactics, and well…..you can imagine the resistance.

So, what is so different today?

Welcome

Today, I enrolled as a MonaVie Associate with Brig Hart and the GLOBAL NetMark Organization.

Global has proven within less than a year, that success and Brig Hart are synonomous within the Network Marketing arena.

Brig has been a leader within the world of direct sales his entire adult life. For the past 25 years, Brig has helped lead sales organizations that have generated over 5 Billion Dollars in total sales volume, stretching around the globe.

Since the launch of MonaVie in January 2005, the GLOBAL NetMark Team has set the pace by becoming the top producing sales organization within the company.

Brig and the GLOBAL NetMark Team, continue to – engrave their marks into the history books at MonaVie.

The Medical and Professional Advisory Board Team of Monarch Health Sciences, as well as the many years of experience and NM Leadership of the Executive Team -- I think is very impressive by most anyones standards.

Having the opportunity to team up with a proven leader in the NM Industry such as GLOBAL NetMark Team and Monavie, may only happen once in a lifetime.

I have never been more confident — that all of the tools to succeed are on the table for anyone who is interested in building a home based business.

What will I do with this opportunity, and what will you and others do with this opportunity?

As many of you, I have also been involved with a few different online business opportunities over the past 5 years. I feel the experience from my past endeavors will be most beneficial in my quest for financial success, with Brig Hart and MonaVie.

Personal growth and education has been occuring during our prior ventures, and that is why we are still here today. I am not willing to surrender to failure.

I know that we have all heard that the road to success is littered with failure.

However, as long as we continue to grow and learn from our pasts, the future is but of our own making.

All The Best!

MonaView Blog Theme

This is blog of my involvement and pursuits of being a MonaView Associate.

I will also be posting information on many topics as related to building a home based business, primarily from home -- What a novel concept, huh?

I will be logging my starting activities, experiences, tools, struggles, and whatever success I accomplish.

Today in 2005, most everyone in the modern world has either been involved with directly or indirectly with a home based business opportunity. Unfortunately, most people have left their chosen opportunity(s) with bad to horrible experiences.

I too have had some experiences where I have mainly spent huge time investments. Fortunately, I learned the Internet has made it possible to eliminate the costs associated with training and recruiting tools. Not that there are not millions still peddling them. So, I have not paid for training since my Amway days back in the early 90's.

I started studying MLM as a true home based business model. A business that could truly be built from my home. In my experience I have help build and moderate forums around the net, since 2000.
