Why Networking Is Different From Selling - Part III

If you missed Part I and/or Part II -- scroll down and read first to follow flow of topic;

All Network Marketing companies must create retail sales volume to be in compliance with FTC Regulations.

With that said, in this series we are focusing on "Networking" versus "Selling" aspect of sponsoring someone in NM.

We Build Businesses When We Build Relationships

Since we are in the "relationship" business, we must develop our communication skills and become better at building trust -- Not becoming become quicker, more clever, or manipulative to close our deal.

The "Sales" Person makes a sale, and he is gone!

The "Sales" Person thinks his job is done when he enrolls someone.

The "Sponsor" enrolls someone, and his job has just begun. He will be there for him after he signs up, to help and train and encourage.

So now we decide to sponsor one of the ninety-five percent that are NOT "Sales" People -- they will need a system for training non-sales people.

This is why I would encourage you to create systems that teach people how to build trust.

The Internet has done a wonderful job of teaching/forcing mass marketers, to learn how to network. If they refuse to learn how to network, they usually retreat offline to sell their business opportunity.

Our profession is not referred to as;

Net-Pitch
Net-Sale

It is referred to as;

Net-WORK

That certainly doesn't mean don't have a good time while building a prosperous business. Networking is very rewarding, and a lot less stresful than selling, but it does require a concious effort to help others and get out and do something to make the world a better place. ;-)
